If your project requires that certification please contact us as we have many other batteries that will work for that application. You can read more about UL9540 in our blog.
- This battery does not have heaters and will need to be kept above freezing to work properly. If your batteries will be in freezing conditions, contact us so we can help you find a battery with built in heaters.
- This battery does have various communication protocols, including wifi, however altE does not provide technical support for this batteries communication and we have not tested the communication functionality. Please read the installation manual in detail to understand the communication system, including dip switch settings. If you need a battery that has communication please let us know and we'll help you find a battery that can support that.
- This battery, like many others of this type, are advertised with a rated energy capacity of 5120Wh. Our testing indicates that the actual usable capacity of the battery is around 4600Wh. For daily cycling you may want to consider utilizing the battery between 20% and 80% state of charge to extend the product lifespan. In this case, you would plan on using only 3000Wh per per cycle, with the ability to extend that to 4600Wh when needed. Like all lithium batteries you should exercise the battery with several deep discharge and charge cycles every few months. If you need design assistance please contact us.
- While max discharging current is 95-100amps, you should plan to charge and discharge at 50amps or less per battery.
- The assembly bracket pictured is not available. Installer will need to provide cabinet or rack that can bear the weight of the units. If a cabinet or backet is needed for altE, please let us know and we can show you some other batteries that may work.
- Make sure your charger and/or charge controller can be programed to the voltage setpoints required. Charging voltage should be 56.8v, at 20amps per battery. Discharge cutoff should be 43.2v, and discharge current should be 50amps per battery.
